What it’s like to work with me

My work with clients is curious, loving, and client-centered. Queer and trans spectrum people are the center of my practice. I specialize in supporting people moving through transitions. Transition into early adulthood, from school to work, new parenthood, gender exploration, and the challenging transition of starting to integrate new perspectives and skills into daily practice. My approach to therapy is integrative and relational. I draw from a range of theories and research to build a shared understanding of what you’re experiencing and why, because different approaches are helpful for different clients. I work collaboratively, and pay close attention to the therapeutic relationship itself. My work is informed by attachment theory, emotion focused therapy, mindfulness, elements of DBT and CBT, and is somatic and trauma informed. I am neurodivergent affirming, and support clients of all body experiences in finding ways to thrive in our ableist society. My personal and professional ethics are informed by anti-racism and cultural humility, radical queerness, and the pursuit of liberation. Humor and metaphor are my constant companions.

We might be a good fit if you are:

  • working to change the way you show up in your important relationships

  • poly, or part of an alternative family structure

  • connecting with or reshaping your relationship to your creative art

  • a survivor of religious trauma

I also work with a wide variety of people across many spectrums of experience and identity. If you need support, I invite you to reach out!
