Who I am
I have a loving, hopeful outlook on life and a fundamental orientation toward connection. I get energy from learning about other people and am endlessly curious about those around me. I believe we all deserve a joyful, connected, meaningful life.
I identify as a non-binary, queer, white, middle-aged, and a currently able bodied neurodivergent person born and raised in the northwest. I earned a Bachelor’s of Music at Scripps College, an MSW at the University of Washington in 2011, and have been in private practice since 2020 as an Independent Clinical Social Worker Associate (SC 61088916). My work with clients is informed by my own transitions: from living rurally to living in a city, from a religious upbringing to thriving as a queer and trans parent, from working in the service industry to an office, and from studying fine arts performance to a career focused on social good. After decades of more systems level work, I turned to this healing practice to support individual care and liberation to strengthen our communities from our insides out. I love growing plants, the natural world, my family and friends, cleaning and organizing my home, and seasonal decorating. I love sending memes to my twin sister and talking to my neighbors. I offer this so that you can get a sense of who I am as a human and practitioner. In the therapy room, my life and identities are background, and your experiences, needs and goals are foreground.
